"Still no refund 7 months later…"
Still no refund 7 months after requesting one! We booked tickets in February 2020 for a flight which got cancelled due to covid. We were provided with travel vouchers which were then extended to be valid into 2022 but the country we were flying to were still not allowing external visitors plus, PA don't fly from the country I live in any more so I couldn't even fly somewhere else! We requested a refund. I was told this was fine to do and we would receive the money within 3 months. Waited and did not receive anything so called to chase up to be told it would be returned in 72 hours... I've now had that same conversation 4 or 5 times with still no money returned to me. This is now beyond a joke and I will be reporting the company to the CAAP if this is not resolved as I'm quite frankly sick of it. These vouchers are completely useless to me and I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK.

"rescheduling chaos. No Initiative. Same robotic responses."
I've flown with Philippine airlines numerous times pre-2020 and I never really had a problem. Not glamorous, but good value for money, above average plane food which is a nice plus and they used to have good baggage allowance which was the main reason I used to fly with them.

Fast forward to 2022/2023 and they appear to be a joke. Booked return flights Australia-Japan and they been altered, cancelled and changed so many times it's hard to keep track. Most disappointingly my flight over I paid more for as it had a layover (in the same terminal in Manila) of just over an hour. Those flights subsequently got changed so my layover was 41 hours... Which is also longer than they even allow. This was done with no other flight options to choose, no compensation - nothing. After a 2 hour interaction with PAL my flight was changed to now a 17 hour overnight layover and a simple hotel request was put in. I was told I would hear from them shortly on whether this would be accepted. 6 weeks later, 7 more interactions and 36 hours from my flight it is still apparently pending. Most frustratingly, any request for different flights, lounge access, or literally anything else to help with a horrible layover (I paid extra to avoid) is brushed aside as if they are all impossible to offer.

How can you delay someone more than 40 hours and not automatically provide SOMETHING?!?! What an actual joke. I recently flew Bamboo airlines and would 100% fly with them instead. Similar price, better luggage and it seems PAL has almost given up.

"Customer service is crappy...PAL management you are pathetic and incompetent."
Customer service is crappy....the management is obviously incompetent. Mr. Tan, VPs of every PAL departments I suggest take a TESDA course on customer service. In this age technology and quality customer service is the key. What you did is discriminate Mabuhay Miles members by limiting access to customer service and classify their redemption tickets as non-revenue therefore put the rebooking of ticket to waitlist despite of abundant available flights for the preferred rebook. I got COVID and has to isolate. I cannot fly on the date I intended to take. Yet, instead of confirming a rebooking it is already almost 24 hours I never heard from any of your agent or management. You call us valued customer, yet you treat us like crap? Do you even understand what valued customer is? I didn't realise redemption of mabuhay miles would be a nightmare and a punishment. STOP saying reward when you cannot even deliver the service. I suppose none of you in management even understand the term "reward". What a shame..flag carrier my ass! If I can give a negative score you are way -1M points.

"Worst airline experience. Stay avay from PAL"
Booked a business class flight from YYZ to SG via Manila in July 2022 for departure Jan 2023 to attend a preschedule important family event. Had to be in SG by Jan 20. Two weeks prior to departure, the slew of PAL changes began. Flight departure delays, and cancellations. They would not give us another alternate choices to be put on partner carriers except to take PAL flights. On the day of departure, flight again delayed so we will miss the event. Requested they book us on SIA flight so that we might be able to catch the tail end of the event since it was not us who changed the flights. However, I was told if we miss the connecting flight from Manilla, and have to be rebooked on the the next PAL flight, we will need to pay a fee as it is considered a new booking. Getting from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 in Manila is very challenging and chaotic so it is high risk in missing the connecting flight. Unbelievable.

PAL had changed our flight schedule more than 6 times for the flight and now they are askig us to pay a new fee if we have to revert back to taking PAL in case we miss the connecting flight using a different carrier . They should be compensating us for their frequent changes and the inconvenience caused.

In addition, check your reissued tickets. Changes made by their CSR were not updated correctly so more calls to them to fix the mistakes. We booked two tickets under one booking reference and then, without our knowledge one of our tickets disappeared from the system only to find out later that PAL created a separate booking reference for each of our tickets. We would not have known until we had to contact them again when flight was delayed again. No confidence in PAL. Worst experience. Best to avoid this airline.

"Philippines airline the heart of the…"
Philippines airline the heart of the filipino but they are very bad for the heart since they are stressing people with their bad service which always delay and doesn't give any explanations why such delay occurs, we travel yesterday from Puerto Princesa to Manila and it was delayed for an hour people were anxious and loads of us got late with our other flights but they just shrug their shoulder as they are the heart of the filipino.check in another flight with same company staffs were mean and power tripper but since we were tired and frustrated we had to play along with behaviour of that staff which I didn't manage to get the name as we were in a hurry
Communication is the key to get the heart of the passengers please!

"Crooks and Liars - Not worth the slight savings for a ticket!"
Same as everyone here. Bought a flight that I later found out they oversold. They changed our departing and arriving flights by over 24 hrs and expected us to spend the night in the Manilla airport with our 1 year old. Spent over 6 hours on the phone with reprentiatives who all passed the buck to someone else. Eventually was told we were rebooked with flight arriving in Manilla earlier so we could get a hotel. Said we'd be sent a voucher for a hotel (never received). Two days before departure I checked the status of the reservation and nothing showed up! On the phone for another 4 hours talking to 4 different reps who all said the original agent who reissued the ticket needs to be the one to fix it. Said I'd get a phone call in an hour or two. 24 hours later nothing. Talked to another agent who said there are no more seats on any of the legs. We are now out over a thousand dollars in non-refundable hotel reservation, will not be able to travel to our destination and I'm guessing won't see a dime of our refund. All for an error they made.

I've never been more disrespected and lied to by a company in my life. This airline is a giant, corrupt con artist and is somehow allowed to continue to operating like they're actually a reputable business. They know you have no actual leverage to demand anything and they lie incessantly. They make you repeat your story to every agent and feed you the same few lines of "I am so sorry this happened and I'm here to help."

Do not believe anything they tell you. They consistently refer to this "support" department that makes all of the decisions. When asked specifically what "support" is, they deflect and say it's their "higher department" as if that's supposed to mean something. They are absolutely crooks and should be avoided at all costs.

"Money grabber Airline"
If I could, I would rate them 0 star. My Mum bought 3 tickets, unforeseen situation happens so we needed to either cancel 2 tickets or just transfer the tickets to two other person, They told my Mum they would refund her for the 2 tickets she wouldn't be able to use because it wasnt transferable to another person. That was before she flew to Manila to pick-up my Grandmother last year in November. This month, My Mum was told by one of the staff that they wouldn't refund her because one out of 3 tickets was used. They lied to her just so they could keep her hard earned money. Philippine Airline is a money grabber airline. They don't care about their customers at all.

"Word of advice to Phillipine Airline "Business Class" passengers."
Phillipine Airlines have the sheer arrogance of placing a Business Class passenger into a broken seat that will never turn into anything comfortable to sleep on. Worst still, I thought the seat was just uncomfortable and that was the way it was supposed to be. After 2 hours of struggling to get comfortable, I gave up sliding down the seat and it was only then I noticed the issue. Earlier in the flight, I was having a chat with one of the stewardesses and she said something about broken seats. I thought I mis-heard her and dismissed it. After letting a steward know, he got a box for the seat to prop up on. Far too late by then. Damage was done, the other passengers' children had had their sleep and there was no letting up on their noise from there on out. I'm glad I had Neurofen on hand for the headache. Why wasn't I told from the start about this? Was it the case that I wasn't going to notice or not care? Better not to alert the other passengers of the failure either else they might have something to say in social media? Towards the end of the flight, another seat failed and then my partner lets me know she can't place any weight on her chair without it collapsing. Word of advice to Phillipine Airline "Business Class" passengers. Don't assume by paying $1000s extra that your trip is going to be anywhere near "Business Class". The photo of the damaged section of lighting is a bonus. I tried to let the airline to respond but the complaint was ignored.

"Downgrades ticket class without automatic compensation"
Philippine Airlines repeatedly switches planes so that Business Class tickets are downgraded -- without automatic refunds for the difference. Customers must beg the airlines for some compensation for PA's failure to provide what you paid for.

"I’d give it a zero rating"
If there was a 0 rating, I would pick that. My flight from Manila to Hongkong on 6-Jan 2023 (PAL310) went on, without me as PAL offloaded all customers bound connecting through Hongkong. Passengers were put up at Century Park Hotel and asked to wait for a phone call. As of noon on 7-Jan, no phone call and no one from the PAL representatives at the hotel had any credible information. No supervisor or manager or anyone of authority from PAL can be found to suppprt the passengers. I ended up rebooking my own flight via a different airline.
This is the 2nd similar experience I’ve had with PAL. Last one was in Jan 2015 to LAX when PAL turned around the flight after 3 hours of flight time saying the aircraft did not have enough fuel to land the aircraft. Similar outcome, no reparations from PAL and I ended up purchasing a one way ticket. PAL promised to reimburse me and 8 years later not a single peso reimbursed by PAL.
I would not recommend this airline. Very unreliable, poor ground operations and no magement accountability.

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY"
I recently had the displeasure of flying with Philippine Airlines and it was an absolute disaster. My girlfriend and I had a connecting flight that was delayed, which caused us to miss our connecting flight and lose an entire day of vacation. Not only did we lose a day of vacation, but we also lost the cost of our already booked hotel room at our destination and pre-booked activities. This level of inconvenience is completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, we submitted a request for a refund over a month ago and have yet to receive any response or update from the airline. It is the responsibility of the company to ensure that proper compensation is provided to affected customers in a timely manner, but Philippine Airlines has failed to do so. Finally today they wrote back after repeated followups from me and was of zero help, telling me I can ask the booking agency for help, when it is clearly not the booking company who made a mistake here..

The neglectful and irresponsible conduct of Philippine Airlines is not acceptable, and I will make sure that others are aware of the subpar service that I received. Do yourself a favor and avoid this airline at all costs.

"THEIR PAYMENT SYSTEM IS NOT COMPLETELY…"
THEIR PAYMENT SYSTEM IS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE AND SEEMS NOT SECURE AS PAYMENTS ONLINE WHERE TRANSACTED FOR TWO DIFFERENT AMOUNTS FOR THE SAME FLIGHTS.
IF IT WASNT FOR MY BANK FRAUD DEPT THEY WOULD BE GIVING NO FLIGHTS.
I FOUND ON MY LAST FLIGHT BACK FROM MANILA IN OCTOBER, THAT THE PREMIUM SEATS WERE BLOCKED OFF, AT THE EXITS (NO SEATING)
THATS A SAFETY ISSUE.

"Do you always treat your customer like…"
Do you always treat your customer like what I have experienced. I have sent a numerous e-mails regarding my complaints and they are all been ignored. This has been going on for the last two years. I'm a pensioner, lost four members of my family during that time and I am actually desperates for the refund. If it is small amount I would just not bother. My name is Mrs Editha Rellosa live in London. If you put my name in your system you will see how badly I have been treated.
